Welcome to Woman’s Hospital’s 2016 Magnet Document

On behalf of Woman’s Hospital nurses, I would like to welcome you to our 2016 Magnet documents. We are so proud to be a Magnet-recognized organization – the first in our community. We can’t wait for you to read about the tireless efforts of Womans’ nurses to improve care over the past four years. As you will read, Woman’s nurses have made significant improvements in nursing practice, patient experience, and patient outcomes.
Since 2003, when we initially started the Magnet journey, our organization has undergone many changes that have improved patient care and nursing practice. We are so proud of the way Magnet has facilitated the transformation of our organization to one that focuses on strategic priorities to make improvements for our patients, our nurses, and our community. We celebrate these accomplishments with pride and look forward to the challenges that lie ahead.
Sincerely,
Patricia “Tricia” Johnson, Senior Vice President, Patient Care/CNO
